This semester will be run a little differently than in the past. Please read each of the sections below to see how your grade will be impacted, but more importantly how you can better be an effective and contributing member of this program.

In Class VideosGrading: Standard
Every student in AVTF 3+ will be required to produce a video every three weeks during class time. This means that each student is responsible for writing, shooting, and editing their own video for submission to the Tomahawk producers each three weeks, for a total of six in class videos throughout the semester. Videos are considered late if not submitted before the dates below and will receive a 10 point deduction from the earned grade for every day that they are late. Due Dates: January 20th February 10th March 10th March 30th April 28th May 17th Studio Time (1st block only)Every student in AFTV 3+ will be required to work in the studio during Tomahawk Today for at least nine days during the semester.
Jobs include camera, teleprompter, graphics, audio, and floor director. A sign-up sheet will be posted in the Control Room during the first week of the semester. |
Video EventsGrading: Standard
Every student in AVTF 2+ will be required to produced three out-of-class videos each semester. These videos cannot be done during the hours of a regular school day. Click on each of the event types below for more information, but there is no double-dipping allowed. If you decide to be both the producer/reporter and shooter/editor, you cannot get credit for both, you will need to submit two different videos. Producer/Reporter PKG Shooter/Editor PKG Creative Video Videos are considered late if not submitted before the dates below and will receive a 10 point deduction from the earned grade for every day that they are late. Due Dates: February 16th March 30th May 17th Portfolio ProjectEach student in AVTF 2+ must create and submit a web-based portfolio using Weebly, or another similar site creation tool.
